![]() Born Goulburn, 1949 Greg Hansell prefers to work only with hand-made earth pastels which he makes himself using different coloured rocks, ground and rolled. He lives according to an aversion for waste and a preference for recycling, maintainign that: "Man should exploit nature for his own end without waste". He works almost exclusively with these pastels on Canson paper but his subject matter varies considerably. His interiors he views as getting into a subject and looking out and he relishes details - man made things which have been moulded from raw materials eg wood building materials, corrugated iron which is weathered, and so on. | ||||||||
