Greg Somers | "Land, Sea and Sky"
It has been an amazing unfolding experience of discovery while looking for locations and places for painting landscapes of Newcastle. An especially rich experience of seeing, as for the first time, a city I have been to many times and thought I knew so well. When looking for subjects to paint I soon realised what a unique city Newcastle is - I discovered anew the character, history and charm and also the geography, the fall of the land, so to speak and the different areas so close in proximity.
