THE FEMININE FORM EXHIBITION
An exhibition of Abstract Figurative sculptures in marble and bronze. The sculptures are exploring variations of a theme. The theme being the feminine form. The sculptures range from figurative in the realistic style through a series refining progressively to a minimalist form.
The female form is a popular subject for sculptors. The challenge is to create an original and interesting variation on this theme. Roger works with light in mind. Sculpture responds to the right amount of light and shade. The play of light and shadow on the sculptures is what brings them to life.
Having exhibited and worked in many countries has given Roger a broad range of experience and influenced his style. By seeing so much variety in sculpture makes you aware of what can be done. This international exposure also allows Roger to Benchmark his work along side some of the best of international sculptors.
Roger works in Marble and Bronze to create unique sculptures with a degree of technical challenge. He works to achieve a high degree of finish. His philosophy is that his sculptures should look as if the artist cares about his work. The sculptures should be pleasing to the eye, and give a unique perspective to the subject.
Italian Statuario marble, Travertine Marble, Black and Gold Portoro, Imperial Red Granite and Rosa Portugal marble are the exotic materials stone used for sculpture this exhibition. The sculptures range of sizes up to a maximum of 170 cms including the base.
