SAND SPILL
This work demonstrates the force of tidal water - the ever changing shape of sand levels by tidal shifts.
EXPEDITION ANTARCTICA
My fascination with icebergs is with the central core and the fragments that create the audience of this ice fully.
FRITJOF SOUND ANTARCTICA
There is a constant flotilla of ice in Antarctic waters and altered courses are very common when exploring.
SAND COURSE
During the extended dry season the inactive river beds takes on a very different appearance to its usual form.
INNES CIRCLES
Coincidental circular shapes appear ubiquitous in the work.
WATER SOURCE
The seasons dictate the water levels of this artesian bore - constant and unpredictable.
BALANCE OF NATURE
Time has no limits on the effects of this sculpted rock by the action of wind and erosion.
THE BITUMEN
Time and progress has altered the status of this once dirt road.
ICE CUBES ANTARCTICA
Icebergs take on all different shapes and sizes. The altered shapes of them are constant and are reminders of the natural elements that have a say in this metamorphous.
JUNCTION NEVER NEVER
Until 2004 the rail line that joins South Australia to Northern Australia was not complete, this link alters the course of the land in isolation.
BORDERS
Always a controversial subject borders are forever changing, whether by new ownership or new politics.
ESTUARINE II
The tidal effect on this beach has elevated the balancing rocks to higher ground while wind action has altered their distinct shapes.
SIDE TRACKS
The central road acts as arterial access while the sub roads are constantly altering the aerial perspective of the land.
SAND ARC
The different seasons that control the shapes of the land are evident here leaving aridity to depict this alternate rivers appearance.
SOLARISE
The usual status quo of blue sky has been periodically interrupted by the inclemency of the immanent storm creating this sun and cloud solarisation
HUNTER VALLEY II
The Perth Mint commissioned Ken as one of four artists to paint the principal wine growing areas of Australia. The main work was subsequently produced as a limited print and distributed within NSW, particularly the Hunter Valley. This is the sister painting.
